Apparently all hell is breaking loose in Westminster this afternoon. The SNP and Plaid have tabled a motion asking for an inquiry into the events surrounding the 2003 Iraq War and, given that a whole number of Labour MPs are narked about the affair, it may very well pass. Labour whips are literally tearing their combined hair out. Iain Dale, Guido and Nick R have various observations.
Now I’m on record as having supported us going into Iraq in the first place, but simply on the basis that Saddam was a nasty piece of work and needed to be got rid of. And if that makes me a neo-conservative then so be it. Roll on Zimbabwe and North Korea. But, despite that support a number of basic questions need to be asked:
- Why were we told that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when it’s now painfully obvious that they didn’t?
- How did we win the war and then completely c**k-up the peace?
- Why are Labour MPs useless at using Youtube when the SNP have it down to a tee.
- Jesus in North Korea
- Rock the House!!!! (but only in North Korea)
