Reuben has arrived! Until I have time to do his page, 
Peter, awesome. I own all of SCC’s albums, but I’ve hardly seen any of his videos. This was great. I remember the first time I heard this song. It was on a Delta flight somewhere as part of the in-flight radio right around the time the album came out. I had all SCC’s prior albums, but having been overseas and having just gotten to the US, I hadn’t gotten up to speed on any CCM new releases.
I honestly didn’t recognize Chapman’s voice on this the first time, it was such a radical departure from previous mellow songs like “Hiding Place” or “His Strength is Perfect” or even the “Heaven in the Real World” pop style. When the D.J. announced it as SCC I was just shocked at his style transformation.
And he is still doing a fantastic job of keeping his music fresh all these years later. But Signs of Life is still one of his best projects… I particularly love “Free”
