I am trying to proof-read a scientific paper written by the beautiful Dr Gayle Ould that is being published shortly in The Journal of Molecular Biology. It’s several pages long and full of countless references to academic papers and complicated charts and graphs. I am terribly impressed and, to be brutally honest, a teeny-weeny bit intellectually intimidated by my spouse.
However…
Question - Is it possible to proof-read something when you don’t know if the words are actually spelt correctly because you’re never seen them before in your life?
