It’s not that it’s Dr Who, but they don’t have it in King size - the cover wouldn’t fit our bed!!! ;P Gx

It’s 200 x 200 cm, so that’s pretty good for a king-sized bed. I’ll order one tomorrow then shall I?

damn! she beat me to the same joke!!!
what we do own here is have 2 double duvets, one for each side of our queen size. That strikes me as the optimal solution for your dilemma.

perhaps I failed in my responsibilities as best-man?
If you want it, you have to make sure your wife feels happy and at ease in her bedroom. A darlek on the bed doesn’t strike me as the best way to go about things.
Unless you’re particularly good at getting her blind rolling drunk every night so that she doesn’t even notice, I would suggest that this bedroom scheme. Furthermore, the comment she posted above is a mark of her incredible graciousness though very much tinged with the not untypical despair of a patient wife!
