Beyond the Limit
Nadine Dorries is going to name and shame MPs who have voted against pro-life positions. Today’s example is Laura Moffat, who couldn’t even bring herself last year to vote for counselling before women have abortions.
Laura Moffatt. Labour MP, Crawley. Majority 37.
Laura Moffat voted AGAINST counselling before the termination of pregnancy in 2007; and abstained during [...]

Rowan opposes the Embryology Bill
Now the Archbishop of Canterbury steps in to highlight the problems with mixing DNA.
Dr Williams attacked proposals in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill which could open the door to research into hybrid embryos and which would remove the reference to the need for a father when under going fertility treatment.
He said: "The hybrid question [...]

Breaking - MPs to be allowed free vote on Embryology Bill?
The BBC is reporting on News 24 that Gordon Brown will allow a free vote on "3 key clauses". Don’t hold your breath until we find out what those sections of the Bill are.
Update - Watching the One O’Clock News. The three areas allowed a free vote during the Committee stage are:
Creation of Saviour Siblings
IVF [...]

A coherent, biblical, pro-gay theology of sex?
Andrew and Giles Goddard (no relation) have been engaged in a series of online discussions on homosexuality. The latest missive from Andrew to Giles is interesting because Andrew has deliberately upped the ante and challenged Giles to reply with a coherent, biblical pro-gay theology.
As you say, ‘we have to start engaging with the more crunchy [...]

Embryology - Now the Church of England gets stuck in
Good to read this morning that Tom Wright, the Bishop of Durham, used his Easter sermon to attack the Government’s new obscene Bill on embryology and fertility.
In his Easter Sunday message, given at Durham Cathedral, Rt Rev Tom Wright issued a rallying call to all faiths to object to the "1984-style" proposals.
He accused ministers [...]

Triduum - Part Three
What happens when you put a massive electric charge through a dead body?
Of all the relics of Christ, the only one for which there is clear historical evidence is the Turin Shroud. It alone presents a number of historical and scientific clues that point to the possibility of it actually being the very piece of [...]

What was Jesus doing after he died?
It’s a question that I’ve been asked on a number of occasions. The creeds tell us that he descended to the dead, so I take that to mean that he was in the same place that all humans are after they die, in Hades, waiting for the resurrection. But [...]

Good Friday Sermon
Preached by my good friend Captain Steve Rogers, the Church Army Evangelist in the parish, at the town Good Friday service. Absolutely top notch.
This morning I want to draw your attention to an encounter that took place on that very first Good Friday morning because its implications provoke us to re-evaluate our own personal response [...]

If MCJ can do it, so can I…
In homage to the master himself
Good Evening, and welcome to this BBC Newsnight Fashion Special. I’m Kirsty Wark.
This evening we’re asking a crucial question - what was Katherine Jefferts-Schori thinking?
We’ve invited two special guests to help us discern.
Hello!!!!
Hello Trinny and Susannah. Good of you to join us.
Not a problem
By the way, which one of you [...]

Nadine Dorries on the “Hand that Hoaxes”
For all those who think we’re being too emotional (that means you Dave R)
I’ve had an amazing response to the ‘Hand of Hope’ blog posted yesterday.
Of course, the pro-abortionist lobby have attempted to rubbish it and say it is a hoax, which it most definitely is not. Some of the pro-abortionists, who know that [...]
