Well, if they do, WC (oops!) they will be exposed for what they are, because the whole proceedings can be seen live, and will also be available on DVD from Anglican Mainstream’s website.

Peter, it was such a good day! I wish you had been able to be there. There was a good mix of Anglo Catholics and Evangelicals, all full of hope – with a goodly sprinkling of purple shirts from around the Communion. (It was a huge gathering, with no sign of hatred, obsession or intolerance, Wicked Conservative – so if the press says any different, they will be lying!)

I am much looking forward to the doubtless measured, nuanced, thoughtful coverage of this conference in the British press.

Short version:

“intolerance…schism…hatred…obsessives…small sect…Anglicanism historically a broad church…no room for ideology…false comfort of certainty” (the “religious affairs specialist” can insert names, places etc. as necessary, then submit to editor)

I don’t see how getting Phatfish is a coup, let alone a major one. I guess Newfrontiers isn’t really bedfellows with Anglicanism, but (as has just been said) the gospel crosses denominational boundaries.

I don’t know why they didn’t get Tim Hughes or an another Anglican worship leader though…
