Do you know what you mean
When you call me up
and simply share your day?
If you speak of life, the way
and path you walked; to lay
a firm foundation
of what you
are and were

Do you know what you mean
When you flick the channel
on the car radio to yours?
Drive me further on our tour
of your disclosed self; your
heart’s intent

Do you know what you mean
When you reach across
And hold me tight?
Though the sky proclaims the darkest night
my heart fires a burning light
fuelled by love

Do you know what you mean
When you lie on my chest
When your hand holds mine?
Though we spend short time
together, it strengthens that line
between us.

Do you know what you mean
to me?
