Everything you ever wanted to know about Saint Patrick (but were too afraid to ask last year)
By Peter Ould, on March 17th, 2010
I think I’m going to make posting this an annual tradition! To be sure, this little treat from the Veggie Tales people tells you absolutely all you need to know about why today is national Guinness drinking day Saint Patrick’s Day. Stick with it right to the end – it’s marvellous!
Aber mit der Heimat
geht man immer herum,
durch die Welt,
dort und dort
Peter Handke
No one could describe
the Word of the Father;
but when He took flesh from you, O Theotokos,
He consented to be described, and restored the fallen image to its former beauty.
We confess and proclaim our salvation in word and image.

Ascensiontide
Risen Christ,
you have raised our human nature to the throne of heaven:
help us to seek and serve you,
that we may join you at the side of the Father,
where you reign with the Spirit in glory,
now and for ever.
God’s Word
And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. (2 Corinthians 1:21-22, ESV)
