We have the whole performance of this staged version of Messiah on our Sky box, and it goes on whenever we are doing something else rather than watching it. I admit I do find it rather strange, but I daresay it is very profound and it is probable that I just don’t get it! It was filmed in Vienna, I believe, and the countertenor is Bejun Mehta, who sounds rather lovely.
