What others think of me

It’s always interesting when you write a blog post or two which challenge others. In particular I’ve been fascinated by some of the responses to the video I did yesterday, so for posterity here’s some of the nicer things that people are saying.

Does the camera tilt down on Ould’s video to show the gay men piled up at the bottom of the burning stake as fuel…hence the term “Faggots”?

I didn’t think so.

A delightful anonymous comment at Susan Russell’s blog . I always find the comments that blog owners allow to be published very telling. And it’s so comforting when people have the comfort of their convictions to publicly acknowledge their authorship of their own words.

And for the record, there is absolutely no etymological link between the use of faggot for a bundle of sticks and its pejorative and disgraceful use against homosexuals. I just checked the OED in case you wondered But let’s not let that stop us claiming that there is that link and making gentle and kind allegations based upon it eh?

These people are sick in every sense of the word. Before praying for the “Windsor Bishops”, they ought to pray for themselves, hoping against hope that they not be caught utterly unawares at just who will be burned by the flames of hate that they light.

This would be Marc commenting at Mark Harris’ blog. I do like the last phrase – “flames of hate that they light”. Has a nice poetic and gracious feel to it.

I’ve been doing a bit of research into the whole so-called ‘ex-gay’ phenomenon – self-hating or self-oppressed is probably a more accurate description, but still…..one thing I have noticed is that they like to festoon their blogs with pictures of Wifey, if indeed, their self-deception has reached those remarkable levels. I suppose its a way of convincing themselves and creating the necessarily heterosexual image! One of them even wrote ‘isn’t heterosexuality great’ as a blog entry. he must really need to convince himself.

Our very own British MerseyMike. Can you feel the love?

I think I’m going to make this a permanent feature. If you spotted any I missed over the past 24 hours, do please let me know.

  1. Peter, it’s really obvious to everyone that “Windsor Bishop” is just a label that means, “I want to do my Christian duty by burning homosexuals to death.”

At least, that’s what I read on the blogs.

And in all seriousness, that’s why I’ve long since given up on the idea of “dialogue” with reappraising Christians – when one of the foundations for discussion is that I must admit my fervent desire to murder, or play accessory to the murder of homosexual persons, I can’t see any benefit in showing up at all.
